# Logo Guidelines

The NASPA logo is the key building block of our identity. The diamond and accompanying text have a fixed relationship that should never be changed in any way. [Use the interactive logo and file helper](#logo-helper) at the bottom of this page, or use the [MarComm request form](https://form.asana.com/?k=k1BnCnePXlzQij2ev89Ecw&d=40073271502809) for specific logo questions.

![Diamond White](/assets/logos/diamond/NASPA_Diamond_White.png)

Used sparingly as a design element. Do not create your own logo. Use the [MarComm request form](https://form.asana.com/?k=k1BnCnePXlzQij2ev89Ecw&d=40073271502809) for specific logo questions.

**Clear Space:** Whenever using the NASPA logo, it should be surrounded with clear space to ensure its visibility and impact. No graphic elements of any kind should appear inside this zone. Clear space is the size of the "S" in Student on all sides of the logo.

### Constituent Group Logos

Use the official horizontal or vertical lockup supplied for each constituent group. Knowledge Communities is shown here as a representative example of the shared structure.

![Horizontal Knowledge Communities constituent group logo](/assets/logos/constituent/knowledge-communities-horizontal.png)Horizontal lockup

![Vertical Knowledge Communities constituent group logo](/assets/logos/constituent/knowledge-communities-vertical.png)Vertical lockup

The group name changes, but the relationship between the NASPA mark, divider, and constituent group name remains fixed. Always use the approved artwork for your group; do not rebuild the lockup.

## Co-Branding with Partners

Use a co-branded lockup when NASPA and an outside organization are presented as partners on the same communication. Every co-branded use must be approved by the [MarComm team](https://form.asana.com/?k=k1BnCnePXlzQij2ev89Ecw&d=40073271502809) before publication. Submit the proposed lockup and its intended use through the [MarComm request form](https://form.asana.com/?k=k1BnCnePXlzQij2ev89Ecw&d=40073271502809).

1

Place the full primary NASPA logo on the left and the approved partner logo on the right.

2

Separate the logos with a thin vertical divider and leave clear space equal to the width of the ‘N’ in NASPA on both sides of it.

3

Keep the logos optically balanced. The partner logo must not appear larger or more prominent than the full NASPA logo.

4

Use the full-color logos on white or light backgrounds. Use approved white or reverse logos on Navy or another sufficiently dark background.

5

Do not redraw, recolor, crop, stretch, box, or join the logos with a plus sign, slash, or other symbol.

### Light background

### Logo Don'ts

### Primary NASPA logo

Use the full primary lockup as the default whenever there is enough room for it to remain legible.

**File format**

Use a transparent PNG for common office, email, presentation, and social applications.

No additional review is usually needed when an approved NASPA logo is used unchanged.
